I have a customer looking for a ring gear for an automatic trans Minx 67 1725cc.  I think it's a Borg-Warner trans, probably a model 35.  Anybody know if it's the same as any of the other BW35's (Datsun, etc) or have one available?
Thanks--
Linden

Linden,         Just a comment.
If he needs a new one fine, but we found sometimes they wear in four quadrants same as A Model Fords.  Simple, remove ring gear and rotate to clear worn area and refit.  He should also look at replacing his starter motor as a mismatching unit causes this problem and will continue until it is fixed.  I had to fit a new one to a 1725 motor recently and it cost $75 AU dollars and much angst but a lot of heat to expand it lets it slip on okay.
Jim Withers is highly recomended here in Aust for his service and prices.

Hi Linden and others,
The Minx Ring Gear is the same on Automatic and Manual.  Sunbeam Specialities in California list them at US$58.00.  I sell them in Australia for A$60.00.  Suits all Hillman Minx 1400, 1500, 1600, 1725 and Hunters, etc.
Greetings, Jim in Melbourne
