The Hillman Car Club of SA sponsored this gathering at Carrick Hill estate (in the Adelaide suburbs) on
Sunday 16th September 2001. About 60 assorted vehicles (Hillman, Humber, Sunbeam, Singer, Commer)
turned up, but the car of the day was a previously virtually unseen 1903 Humberette from an
Adelaide suburb. The car has been beautifully rebuilt, and was driven by its 75 year old owner
from home to the display and back. When accepting his prize for the Peoples' Choice Award – a voucher
for Rocca Bros. (auto accessories retailer) – he quipped,
"I don't think they sell parts [for this] anymore!"
The president of the Humber Car Club made an impromptu speech, congratulating us on a great
day, and indicated their support for such events in future years.

It must have been good – even his 1946 Minx has its mouth open!
