Clarification of the text :
The ‘Gazelle’ is the proud new leader of the Hillman team.  It is one of that special breed of car that combines elegance (real style, a lovely line) with comfort and outstanding performance.  Who could expect to buy a car whose interior is a dream of deep foam upholstery and superb appointments at such a price?  And who would expect a car that is so comfortable to flash away with such verve or to take endless miles of rugged driving with such silky power?  Among the scores of reasons for ‘Gazelle's’ superb performance and comfort are a new 1,725 cc sports engine with a 5-bearing crankshaft, developing 85 bhp, disc brakes at front and individually adjustable reclining front seats.
You also have the choice of a new range of fashion trims and paint colours with the flashing new Hillman Gazelle.

The Hillman Gazelle (and a few other Rootes models assembled in Australia after the 1965 purchase by Chrysler) featured the Chrysler "pentastar" trademark badge below the "ROOTES 1725" badge, immediately behind the front left wheel.

The above picture is identical to the Singer Gazelle picture found at http://www.rootes1725cc.info/gazelle/gaz1.htm except for the following details touched up by an artist :

  1. car colour
  2. front number plate
  3. "HILLMAN" letters on the front of the bonnet
  4. Chrysler pentastar badge
  5. side strips are parallel; "Gazelle" logo moved to the front door
