The elegant new HILLMAN MINX DE LUXE is a car
of proved reliability. It is built to quality standards, with de
Luxe appointments, excellent finish and fine styling
throughout. A choice new range of colour schemes is now
available. All doors open to a wide angle for easy entry and
exit. Large windows provide sweeping views for driver and
passengers: the raked front and rear screeens are designed
to give clear all-round vision.
Going away? There's ample room for luggage in the full-size
compartment of the Minx de Luxe. Weather-tight, the compart-
ment has a spring-assisted lid for easy opening. The floor is
covered with a protective mat – the spare wheel is easily accessible.
Fully automatic transmission You can specify the efficient
Borg-Warner system of fully-automatic transmission as an extra.
The transmission changes smoothly and silently. Floor-mounted
selector lever is illustrated on right.
Braking safety The Minx has a highly efficient braking system.
Front disc brakes are teamed with large-area self-adjusting drum
brakes at the rear. Only light pedal pressure is needed for straight,
even braking. Heavy-duty brake linings are smooth in operation,
powerful and fade-resistant. You drive with safety and confidence.
