2017 Changes to the Constitution
HILLMAN CAR CLUB
OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA INC

The committee has discussed some changes to our Constitution, and recommends that they be passed by a Special General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 1st November 2017, following the 7 pm monthly general meeting.
Address: Seven 22 (bar-bistro-gaming), 722 Port Road, Beverley (cnr Howards Road).

One change in particular has prompted this initiative – the elimination of annual inspections of Conditionally Registered vehicles (no longer required by the Code of Practice).  While we are incurring the expense of registering a changed Constitution, it seems good to take this opportunity to make further improvements.

To make the process (relatively) easy to understand, the following documents are available for you to download.
Right click on each link, and either "Open in new tab" or "Save target as."  Exact behaviour depends on your web browser.
If you can't open the PDF files via these links, try the alternative links at the bottom.

Quorum {section 15 (i)} for this Special General Meeting is "one fifth of the current membership" (15 members in our case).
Approval required {section 23}: "three fourths of the members present and voting"

Under section 24 (2) of the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, we must register the changes with the Corporate Affairs Commission within one month of the changes being made.

Alternative links only for members who can't open the PDF files above.  Right click each one, and open in new tab.
